Midsummers Maypole

The Midsummer's Maypole committee will coordinate the removal of the previous years decor along with the decorating of the Maypole for the present years celebration.  This includes cutting branches and getting them over to the park, getting supplies and equipment needed and organized, and asking for volunteers to bring their trucks for transportation.  

1. Get permission and gate access to Heritage Park from Old Mill Museum for Friday evening. 

2. Arrange to have 2-3 pickup trucks available to haul cottonwood branches to Heritage Square on Friday evening.

3. Send out email to all LSFD inviting them to the required decorating time on Friday.

4. Remind the group to bring tree loppers, pliers, gloves, bug spray, etc. from home to use.

5. Provide a sign-in sheet to collect attendance.  Missing does count as an unexcused absence. 

6. Provide the group with wiring to be used to attach to May Pole.

7. Haul away twigs to the bone yard after we have finished. 

 8. Monitor the progress and make sure people stay on task.  We don't leave until the May Pole is completely decorated.
