Special Order Baking - This service is offered year round. The Special Order Baking Coordinator has provided the link above to sign up for special order baking. The Special Order Baking Coordinator will be the contact for all Special Order Baking orders and will collect all payments. The Special Order Baking Coordinator will work with the Publicity Committee to develop flyers, advertising, communications, etc. detailing what baked goods are offered by the LSFD. When people call to order items, the Special Order Baking Coordinator will contact listed LSFD families to fill orders and coordinate drop off/delivery of baked goods. If someone in the group receives a requested order personally, they should notify the Special Order Baking Coordinator so everything is routed through one source, even if that person fills the order themselves. If LSFD families are using the LSFD recipes, supplies and/or name (specific or implied LSFD Brand), then this process must be followed.
Keep the following in mind as pertaining to this project:
*The money must go through LSFD.
*Please protect the LSFD “brand”. It is important that anybody involved with LSFD always project a positive image that embodies our mission including the promotion of our Swedish heritage. This includes advertising, baking and presenting only items as they are listed in the LSFD Family Book.
*LSFD supplies are only to be used for items listed in the LSFD Family Book and accounted for through the dancers financial account.
*All money collected should be routed through the dancer’s account. Make checks to LSFD, not the individual dancer. Give collected money to the financial director (currently Kayley Fleming 785-218-9468) or the SOBC (currently Molly Carver 785-452-2074).
*Notify the SOBC of any delivered items so supplies can be replenished.
*If you have someone contact you to ask you personally to bake for them, that is not a problem as long as you let the SOBC know and follow the guidelines above.
*During a typical year, you will probably only be called on between one and three times to bake for this project, so if you desire to do more baking than that, spread the word! Put flyers out at work, send emails, use social media, etc. Again, just remember to keep the SOBC notified, use the guidelines listed above, and if you get overwhelmed with orders, direct the patrons to the SOBC to call on others to help fill the orders.
